Spring has Sprung

Yep it sure is looking like Spring in the shop now! Birdhouses and eggs and bunnies and flowers popping up everywhere!!! Even outside!!!
This quartet of speckled eggs is just waiting to go home to your Easter basket!
We just received this sweet lil lighted tabletop church in a new shipment.
Perfect to add to your Easter decorations!
We just purchased this vintage high chair from a local estate this week. It is at least 50 years old and possibly older. It still has its original finish and all its working hardware. Its way to nice to stay in the shop long!
This mischievous cat came from Tina's creative mind.
He is painted and collaged on canvas and his story is written all around him.
It is sooo much fun that everyone giggles when they see it!

This handpainted vintage bucket with Moon face came from Tina this week too! Its another unique piece.

Danny built his wonderful potting table. Its prim green finish would make an awesome accent to any ones porch!

Sadly all the snowmen who were inhabiting the bathtub headed North for the summer. But now the tub is chock full of wonderful throw pillows! Some are handmade one of a kind too!

We received a variety of sweet coasters in this week also and this kitty is just one example of them!

What can I say about this sweet lil puddy tat purse??? I mean really??? How long did I think this handpainted bag by Tina would be in the shop??? Well more than 15 minutes that's for sure! Yep it sold within 15 minutes of its arrival! Holy smoke! Good thing she is bringing some more unique handpainted ones soon huh?

This #4 crock and jug arrived this week also! Sweet!

This sweet primitive grungy bunny pair have wire whiskers and square nail noses! They are selling fast! Tammy created these for us!

This lil hand decorated child's desk chair was painted by Terry in shop! Its very nice!

Ron built this great triplex birdhouse and Terry and I primmed it out! Doesn't it look like it has been hanging near the beach for years???? Any bird would love to call it home...

Ahh Betsy...what a sweet face this lil primitive gal has. Tammy created this one of a kind sunflower babe, she is just the best! She was sitting in a sunflower motif handpainted chair by Tina when this picture was taken, that chair has since sold. The doll is sure to quickly follow.

This grungy hen and her two star covered eggs just flew in from Tammy and its darling! You must see and feel this weighted lady!

This unique rabbit with his saddlebags full of carrots hopped in from Tammy's house. He is really neat to! You gotta see some of her newest pieces in person before they are gone!
These are but a few of our newest pieces, some of the new ones sold before I could even get pictures and others are arriving daily! Stop by soon!!!!

New Furniture Consigner

We have recently welcomed a new furniture consigner on board. Mike creates some pretty sweet colonial and primitive style pieces. He will be taking orders for custom pieces also.
This slim open shelving piece primmed out in black would work wonderful to hold cd's, dvd's or even bathroom needfuls!

This white washed and stained beadboard shelf would be awesome anywhere! He makes these in multiple sizes and they can be finished in many colors and or stain.

This neat primitive shelf has a freehand stretched star cutout backed by rusty wire mesh, its a great piece.

This is a closeup of the freehand cut stretched star motif on the shelf above.

Check out some of his furniture now in the shop.... He will be creating more pieces you can be sure. He is meticulous and very talented!

This primmed and stained candle box above is another sweet piece. It looks and feels vintage instead of new!

Stop by soon and check out all of Mike's furniture. He brings it into the shop unfinished and we hand finish it for him. We are currently working on four more pieces. They should be out by the next week!

Stop in soon!

"Old" New Cabinet

The pictures below show a new deep bottom hutch we just completed the finish work on. It was created by our friend Ron of St. Albans from re-purposed lumber and its really nice. It has loads of storage in the bottom and tons of display opportunity's with its multiple shelves, plate grooves and mirror inset in the back.

Check out these close ups of the wonderful prim finish that Terry gave this piece. The patina looks sooo good in places one might think its an old cabinet instead of a reproduction piece.

We painted, sanded, primmed and stained it. My Sis did most of the work!
This hutch won't be in the shop long as it has already had several hard looks from customers the very day we brought it in.

Better stop in soon and see it before it's gone!

Happy St. Pattys Day to YA

Find more like this on Kate.net!

Duct Tape or a Nail???

A man dies and goes to heaven. St. Peter meets him at the Pearly Gates and says, 'Here's how it works. You need 100 points to make it into heaven. You tell me all the good things you've done, and I give you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was. When you reach 100 points, you get in.'
'Okay,' the man says, 'I was married to the same woman for 50 years and never cheated on her, even in my heart.' 'That's wonderful,' says St. Peter, 'that's worth two points!'
'Two points?!' he says.

'Well, I attended church all my life and supported its ministry with my tithe and service.' 'Terrific!' says St. Peter.. 'That's certainly worth a point.'
'One point!?!!'

'I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans.' 'Fantastic, that's good for two more points,' he says.
' Two points!?!!

'Exasperated, the man cries. 'At this rate the only way I'll get into heaven is by the grace of God..' ' Bingo ! 100 points ! Come on in!'
We often try to fix problems with WD-40 and duct tape.

God did it with a nail. AMEN...
