Happy Mothers Day Mom

I want to take a moment and wish my mom Helen a blessed and beautiful Mothers Day tomorrow...
This year has been harder than most on my mom with the loss of my dad so recently and it has been more than 40+ years since she shared Mothers Day with her own mom so Sunday will not be without its share of tears for her.
But I want the world to know how blessed my sister and I feel to have our Mom.
She is a great mom to Terry and I and an awesome Nana to Joe, Miranda & Drew, and last but not least a great great grandma to Emmy Jo!
We love you mom.

You Rock!

And to all the moms out there i wish you a blessed and beautiful Mothers Day!

Pre - Mothers Day Blessings....

What a blessed wonderful marvelous day we had today!
We were running at full throttle during the pre-Mother's Day rush! Lots and lots of fun!!!
I mean even in all the hectic and frenzied pace we had a great day in the shop..... tons of people were in, new and old and we visited and shared hugs and laughs with many old and new friends and we got to love on many lil ones and share suckers with them too!
We gave guidance and free advice to many a lost or confused
man buying for his wife and or mother.
We gift wrapped many gifts, made a few gift baskets up and issued many gift certificates....
We also received some consigned pieces in today during all the craziness.
One item I had been heavily hinting about to a local craftsman Terry C. of Red House showed up today ...... When he brought it in the front door of the shop we all laughed and laughed at how realistic he made it.... and when he opened the door on it we all really got the giggles......
check it out below....
This lil outhouse is sooo neat!!!!
It will have a permanent place in the landscaping out in front of our shop.
It is highly detailed so highly detailed in fact you can see " the business end" inside...all that's missing in my mind is the Sears & Roebuck catalog!
LOL what fun! Terry is taking orders for them,
and I expect he will stay plenty busy making them.
Ours is just tooooo cute!
Wonder what the other businesses near mine will think when they see it? LOL I am sure someone will have something to say about it!
I will keep you posted on the reactions!
Julia and Darrell brought in a few framed pieces today and they were cute!
Darrell also made a couple of awesome primitive cabinets to use as bedside tables.
Sorry I don't have a picture of them yet!
Terry C. made an assortment of trellis's that we are currently displaying out in the front of the shop. They are really sturdy and would be great in any landscape.
Kathy brought in more pillows today. Three of them are shown here.

These are but a smidgen of what came in today...
we even received a barn red armoire and a beautiful secretary on consignment.
I will try to get pictures of them on line real soon...if they don't sell first!
Stop by to see more.
I would like to wish all the moms out there a Happy early Mother's Day!
God Bless you all!

Berry Sweet New Consignment

No I haven't opened a bakery, or a sweet shop!
But what I have just received in the shop is a "berry" sweet bit of consigned novelty candles... Amy of Red House creates the cutest lil fruit tarts and ice cream sundaes, and iced cakes you have ever seen...and they smell as good as they look... check them out below...
Here are some of the small strawberry tarts and they even come in lil foil pans!
Check this one out! It looks like a bowl of ice cream and peaches!!

Displayed in this cabinet they look good enough to eat!

Yummy!

The bottom shelf holds a cake smothered in peaches,
the second shelf holds a frosted cake with blackberries and a strawberry tart!

Here are some close ups of the cherry tarts!

This shows a cross section of the different types available.
I don't know about you but I'm getting hungry just looking at them.

More close-ups...you can also smell them cant ya?

Here you can even see the lil glass dishes with the strawberry shortcake type candles.
They are selling fast!

Ummm...now wheres my cool whip???? LOL
All these candles would make sweet (pun intended) Mother's Day gifts...don't you think so too???

This Weeks Treasures

I am happy to share some of this weeks new treasures with you below....

This beautiful spring table arrangement was created by Terry
today for a local church's Mother's Day dinner.

Julia created this crackled finish candle holder.

Julia also brought this cute light in too.

This pic shows another little lamp with a sheep on it from Julia.

Lisa brought in three beautiful quilted bags today. They are awesome.

This striped bag has some really nice colors in it.

These two rooster prints arrived this week.

Local craftsman Terry from Red House created this sweet lil doll or pet bed
and brought it in today. He is making some other neat pieces in a similar style this week!

We have had this vintage cabinet for a short while but until today it was covered up.

This vintage cabinet was also loaded up and is now
displayed better so you can really see its potential

This is another view of the cabinet above.
This is our newest hand crafted display.
Ron of St. Albans built this one for us, and Terry primmed it up.
We installed it today and it will be showcasing all our food items from now on.
This includes all of our Rabbit Creek, and Savannah Cinnamon items,
and will include some WV jams and jellies as well in the near future.
We hope to even have some yummy samples set up on it's counter to enjoy soon!
This lil outhouse is actually a birdhouse and its tooo cute!
We had to display the lil mini washtub soap dish next to it!

This framed print was created by Julia and features outhouses.

This lil light was also created by Julia and features one of the outhouses as well.

The picture isn't so great but the crackled finish white shelf created by Darrell is.

Darrell also crackle finished this lil shelf unit!

Last but not least Terry primmed this sofa table created by Ron.
Its a neat piece and would look great in anyone's home!
