Fall's Flora and Fauna on the Farm

The Fall season would make anyone want to live in the country.
The pictures here are just a few that I took tonight when I got home.
The colors are amazing and the wildlife is right at your finger tips.. The deer in the shot above were on the slope near our driveway tonight munching away no matter how close I got...one was a four point buck, the others were doe's. I see a six point and his herd a lot here too...

Here are the last of the purple hot peppers left in the garden, their coloring and the color of the leaves of the plant really stands out against all the straw bedding underneath...

Here is one of the mums I planted last Fall...some of the blooms are just coming on, some have begun to fade...

This tree is on the slope near our driveway and its so bright yellow it practically glows..... the picture just doesn't do it justice... the deer graze near it every evening, and always in sight from my kitchen window...

These are some of the trees behind our house in the woods, the coloring is just wonderful, oranges, yellows and reds....

Here are but a few of the leaves that crunch under my feet when I go to the garden now blanketing the ground like a multicolor carpet...

Even the poison ivy not to be outdone has its Fall attire on, so many different shades on one plant...makes me want to touch it....nahhhhhh.....scratch scratch...itch itch...whine.......

The last of the seasons tame strawberry's have been left for the birds to enjoy...they seem to know the last berries are for them and they relish the late season treat...

Last but not least one of the small dogwoods in our yard, its so bright it looks as if its on fire when looking out the windows of the house....

This time of the year would make anyone want to live out in the country.....sigh...but winter... well that season just might change your mind......:)

Bye for now....
