Ahhh Our Wedding Anniversary....

Wow, two years ago today I got married... Doesn't seem like it has been two years, it has flown.... I was just sitting today letting this anniversary percolate in my microscopic brain and I was thinking to myself.....why is our marriage still so new, fresh and fun...like we just met a few days ago??? When around us so many marriages fail???

Well we have to go back a bit to probably understand this fact....we have both been married before and neither had the kind of forever "till death do us part" type of marriage we both longed for... both of us in our heart of hearts wanted someone who "gets us" someone to laugh at our jokes, dry our tears, someone to lean on, and someone to share our life.

After being divorced and on my own 13 years I started a new job and low and behold met this really nice very smart but funny guy there. We became fast friends and stayed this way for a couple of years. Neither pursuing anything more just enjoying this wonderful blossoming friendship and getting to know each other...then somewhere along the way eyes started sparkling and gears started grinding and both of us started to have feelings for each other, more than just friendship... after a few years of friendship we began to date...

I have to say that I truly believe God had a big hand in us finding each other, and that we truly complement each other, filling in the weaknesses and shoring up the strengths. If I had to explain to someone today what makes our marriage work, what do I think keeps it going strong, I would say prayer and laughter and give and take. Those three more than anything else...

So today I say thank you for my wonderful husband Bruce and all the blessings he has brought into my life since we met, and all the blessings yet to come.... and I wish you all as much happiness as we have found with each other!!!

P.S. He took me to dinner tonight, and he made reservations this weekend at one of our fav B & B's Breath of Heaven ..... yep he is romantic and definitely a keeper!
